Debra Davidson is a Professor of Environmental Sociology in the Department of Resource Economics and Environmental Sociology at the University of Alberta, having received her PhD from the University of Wisconsin (1998). Her key areas of teaching and research include impacts of and adaptation to climate change, and crises and transitions in food and energy systems. Dr. Davidson is a lead author in Working Group II of the Intergovernmental Panel for Climate Change’s 5th Assessment Report.
Peter Boxall is a Professor of Environmental and Resource Economics in the Department of Rural Economy, Faculty of Agricultural, Life and Environmental Sciences at the University of Alberta. He obtained his BSc and MSc degrees in Biology from Queen’s and Calgary respectively. He then saw the light and earned MSc and PhD degrees from the University of Alberta. Peter’s research focuses on the economic valuation of environmental goods and services and utilizes both revealed and stated preference methods.
